Entertainment & Arts-Comics & Animation

Hello, my name is Megan C. Walker, I go by Megan, MC, MCW, or on my Deviant Art as Bones. Which I have to say predated the show ^_~. I currently reside in New Hampshire, New England. I recently moved into my new studio office. There will be a Grand Opening of the Studio as well the Studio Store. All studio store products can be found on this site at the Online Store. I moved to New Hampshire for high school, then attended college for four years at Maine College of Art. I have been doing early college art programs since I was 12. Which was the youngest age they ever aloud in. I have moved around the world most of my life due to my parents overseas jobs. My father works as a Executive Project manager for The American  embassies, in Terrorist proofing and Security upgrades. My mother on the other hand was an executive chef doing world wide culinary training. We primarily lived in African countries, like Zimbabwe and Asian countries like Thailand and the Philippines. I personally always loved Asia the most and still feel the most comfortable in an Asian country. I hope one day to live back overseas, probably in an Asian country. I did have wonderful experiences in Africa. I went on safari, and it was amazing. The animals there are NOTHING like the animals in captivity. They are so much bigger in their habitat.  I have 3 older brothers and 1 older sister. I also have some of THE cutest nieces and nephews! They have inspired a lot of my latest ventures in the up and coming Space Cat product line and Animated shorts. Infact Space Cat himself is just my nephew Braden in a tiny tabby cats body.

My work primarily revolves around cartoons, 1950's and 80's retro, lolita/jrock/punk and even decade fashion. Patterns, graphics, anatomical work, intensive research on World War II and death folklore around the world. I studied in many traditional oil painting classes while in college because I felt those classes aloud me to really learn about color. I love a good use of color, even if it is bright enough to blind someone, I want to make sure your eye travels around the work. All of the classes I have taken even surrealism have aided in my work. I have been doing outsource work for companies in California, I meet with them on Skype which is a great gig. One company is LA Games, which is basically a professional head hunter company. The other is disclosed sadly for now due to contract, once things are finalized I should be able to show off the work I have done for them in my portfolio. I also do alot of freelance work on Crowdspring.com I recommend it to any freelance graphic design, illustrator or anyone in web design.

In my personal life, I love plants and show case my loving pets in alot of my illustrations. As you can see here in the BOLT REDUX piece above. I have a young German Shepard who I am training with a K9 officer. My cat is a rescue, and the hamster is the newest addition. I love playing video games especially pokemon, rock band, DDR, super smash bros, and much more. I am a batman enthusiast to say the least. I have read, watched and collected just about everything batman related that I could afford. I love reading graphic novels and comics. I collect vinyl, resin, plush and other toys,  vintage and exclusive my little ponies, bones, metal lunch boxes and banana stickers. I also have a life size skeleton named Stan in my Studio. I love my job and all that comes with it!
